A New The World Ends With You Announcement Teased
A new website (found here under a Japanese Square-Enix domain) has appeared showing nothing but a countdown timer, with the same numerical font as 2008’s The World Ends With You, and a silhouetted cityscape that resembles the DS game’s iconic Shibuya setting. The bottom of the page also credits Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi, the artists of the original game, as the character designers of the page.
There is no mention on what this announcement may be, but given the original The World Ends With You cast’s recent appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, I believe a sequel isn’t too far out of the question. The countdown appears to end next Monday morning (8/27) at 3AM EST (12AM PST), but until then we can only speculate.
